چکیده
Accurate inversion of soil hydraulic parameters based on the van Genuchten–Mualem model has received much attention in science research. Herein, a hybrid algorithm method using particle swarm optimization and vector-evaluated genetic was used to invert θs, α, n, Ks, with objective functions infiltration rate, cumulative infiltration, water content. Then, numerical experiments were conducted four typical soils at three initial content levels (20, 40, 60% effective saturation) verify accuracy inverse method. The results showed that inversed retention conductivity curves approximately same as real curves, root mean square errors 0.00101–0.00192 cm3·cm−3, 0.00800–0.02519 respectively, both Nash-Sutcliffe coefficients 1.0. Additionally, laboratory also performed compare for verification, within small squared 1.0 Nash–Sutcliffe coefficients. Furthermore, can achieve acceptably accurate parameter even substantial measurement included content, final Thus, is robust found be practical field experiments.

estimating soil water infiltration parameters using artificial neural networks
abstract infiltration is a significant process which controls the fate of water in the hydrologic cycle. the direct measurement of infiltration is time consuming, expensive and often impractical because of the large spatial and temporal variability. artificial neural networks (anns) are used as an indirect method to predict the hydrological processes. the objective of this study was to develop ...
متن کاملOn the Identification of Soil Hydraulic Parameters
Drainage experiments are commonly conducted to determine soil hydraulic parameters. Experiments generally measure the temporal evolution of the cumulative outflow as well as pressure heads and water contents at several levels in the column. Then the analysts try to calibrate the model by fitting the model response to the data series. The aim of the present work is to investigate the quality of ...

Infiltration rate is one of the most important parameters used in irrigation water management. Direct measurement of infiltration process is laborious, time consuming and expensive. Therefore, in this study application of some indirect methods such as artificial neural networks (ANNs) for prediction of this phenomenon was investigated. Different ANNs structures including two training algorithms...

Inverse optimization of parameters offers an economical means to infer soil hydraulic properties from in situ measurements of infiltration. We evaluated optimization strategies to inversely estimate soil hydraulic parameters using field measured tension disc infiltrometer data. We estimated the parameters n, , and Ks of the van Genuchten-Mualem (VGM) model, and a piecewise representation of con...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the spatial distribution of soil infiltration using geostatistics methods in a regional scale on 400 hectares of Mansour Abad Plain, in Larestan region, Fars Province. Sampling and parameters measurement were done for 78 points in a regular grid with a distance of 100*100 meters; for these variables, the best variogram model between linear, exponential, Gau...
